St. Louis Cemetery - New Orleans

The St. Louis Cemetery is sort of an eerie place.  I love cemeteries, but this one just gave me the creeps.
 The Voodoo Madam.

The new crypts are mixed with the old ones

Some of the older crypts that have fallen into disrepair

 Many are in French

The Battle of New Orleans- War of 1812- many of the fallen soldiers are buried here.

I am a member of the Daughters of 1812 and have an ancestor who fought with the Kentucky Militia and Andrew Jackson in this battle, although he survived.  The USD 1812 erected this monument to those men
