Fort Mifflin

Fort Mifflin was commissioned in 1771 and sits on the Delaware River outside of Philadelphia.  It took heavy bombardment from the British fleet in the fall of 1777.  After the Revolution it remained an operating Fort and held many prisoners during the Civil War.

Landis Valley Village and Farm

The Landis Valley Village and Farm is a working village settlement representing the Pennsylvania German settlers from the 1740's through the early 1940's.  I love visiting these quaint working historical places.  I have several Pennsylvania German ancestors that fought in the American Revolution and lived nearby.
